# Quick Start

Welcome to Mining Sentry, to get started head over to the Mining Sentry website and click on the Mining Sentry Central button.

Clicking on the Mining Sentry Central button will bring you to the login screen. If it is your first time logging in click the Sign Up button and enter your credentials.

# Equipment and Workplace Exams

Equipment and workplace inspections are critical to a safe and effective mining operation.

### Equipment

Equipment represents assets such as haul trucks, excavators, pumps, tools and more. Equipment have the ability to track hours, miles as well as fuel.

### Workplace

Workplaces are areas on your mining plant, example workplaces include: primary plant, secondary plant, pump stand, gravel hole and more.

# How to add equipment and workplaces

Go to the Equipment or Areas tab in Mining Sentry Central. Click on the plus button in the upper right.&#x20;

Fill out the form with your equipment or area details and click save. You can now add this equipment to an Inspection Form.&#x20;

### How to add your equipment / area to an inspection form

Find the inspection form you want to use in the Forms tab of Mining Sentry Central. Click on the Details button.

Click on the Add Zones button in the inspection form you want to add your equipment or workplace to.

Find your zone and save to this form. You can now start conducting inspections for your new equipment/area.

# How inspections, failures and resolutions work

### Inspection Failures

This is an example of a failing inspection. This haul truck is failing for lights and backup alarms. (Questions can be customized). There are 3 sections in the inspection details. The details with information on the zone and operator, the Questions which is the inspection questions and answers and the history.

### Resolving Failures

When you click on the Resolve you will be taken to the inspection resolution page. You can add your resolution details and an image or video. Resolving will capture who resolved the issue and when. When all failures are resolved the inspection is in a resolved state.&#x20;

### Inspections List

You can look at completed inspections for your plant. You can search for inspections by status (Pass, Fail), Operator and Zone. The inspections list is a good place to see what is happening at your plant.&#x20;

# Assigning QR Codes to a Zone

QR Codes can help you quickly locate mining equipment and workplaces.

QR codes are a way of finding equipment and work areas. To add a QR code to your equipment/area follow the following steps.

### 1) In the settings page of the central app find the zone you want to add a QR code to.

### 2) In the Zone details click the edit button.

3\) Click on the Round blue button at the bottom of your screen under the Assign QR code heading.

### 4) Scan the QR code.

### 5) Once the QR code is scanned click on the Update button to save the QR code.

Your Done.. You have just added a QR code to a Zone.


# Site Specific Hazard Training

Improve safety and communication with Mining Sentry Visitor

### Requirements Overview

Site-specific hazard awareness training must be given before any person is exposed to mine hazards.

### Visitor App

The visitor app is used by drillers, blasters, welders, contracts and any other person required to participate in Site Specific Hazard Training. &#x20;

Visitors sign into your mining plant by providing their phone number and a mine code. The mine code is your msha id or code that you specify. Example: west-plant.

### Training

Once the visitor signs in they will enter information about their company and take the required site specific training. This training is a video, visitors can not fast forward the video and must watch till the end. Once the video is completed a button will appear for them to accept training.&#x20;

This training is valid for 1 year. When their training is expired we will prompt them to complete the training again.

# Visitor Sign Ins

Understanding who is on site at your mining plant is critical to safety. Send notifications to visitors during important events such as; blasting, emergency fire and more.

# Webhook Integration

Send Sentry data to your service with our webhook integration. To use the webhook integration go to the Integrations page in the application.

### Add Your Service Details

Click on the Create button and add your service details. You will now receive data for the events that you selected such as inspection created, inspection resolved.

# Android

Mining Sentry Central, Mining Sentry Operator and Mining Sentry Visitor can be installed on your Android. To install the app go to the web app you want to download using Chrome.&#x20;

Once in the web app click on the 3 dot menu in the upper right. Halfway down the menu click Add to home screen.

You have now installed Mining Sentry on your Android device.


# Apple - IOS

Mining Sentry Central, Mining Sentry Operator and Mining Sentry Visitor can be installed on your IOS device. To install the app go to the web app you want to download using Safari.&#x20;

Once in the web app click on the share up arrow at the bottom middle of your screen. In the share menu click Add to Home Screen.

You have now installed Mining Sentry on your Android device.
